we believe in the positive impact of education for every student and family

Adopt-A-School
refers to a program where a private entity agrees to extend assistance to a public school. The adoption of a school can include a range of involvement from a small classroom project to projects encompassing the entire student body. In partnership with several non-profit organizations, we’ve adopted two (2) high schools and three (3) elementary schools in the province of South Cotabato, Mindanao, Philippines.

education for all

Adopting T’boli School of Indigenous Knowledge and Tradition (SIKAT) Main and Extension Schools was made possible through Helping Hands-FilAm, Inc.’s Second Annual Charity Gala. HHFAI is a 501 (c) 3 organization based in Highland, New York. The event raised $2,500 in donations, which exceeded the original $1,000 pledge for the repair of SIKAT Main’s dilapidated roof. The rest of the funds were used to purchase school supplies and repair of classroom desks and chairs.

SIKAT also received boxes of books, toys, clothes and computer monitors to be used by teachers and learners. HHFAI also facilitated electrical installation for the entire school as it was still off-the-grid prior to HHFAI’s visit.
